 Hey blog, I have started to film my project. I decided to have my dad be a big part of my opening. I want the suspense of me and him possibly being separated because I am getting drafted into the war. I will be the main character so, I and my dad will take turns filming. I will start filming tomorrow and hope to finish filming by the end of the week. I will update you guys with video clips later this week. I am going to colorado for spring break, so I'm gonna get some cool shots that I really believe will represent how close I and my father are in this opening. The mountain terrain will also add an eerie feeling to my opening. Come on! Now that adds another element and gets the audience involved. The idea of a father and son trip will make it seem like we're the only people in the world.  Hey Blog! This week I will start the production of my project. I have come to the conclusion that I will be doing the idea of an 18-year-old boy that is getting drafted into the military because there is a war going on. I brainstormed this idea because the Ukraine war is going on and everyone is worried about getting drafted into the war. This film's opening will start with a boy that is a preppy rich kid. The rich boy look of this character really establishes a feel for him not being ready to get drafted into the war. I believe that this will get the audience guessing how he will do in this war and be a real attention grabber. Hello Blog1  We have finished our music video project and are now transitioning to our portfolio projects.  This is an exciting part of the class as I have always been passionate about blogging and editing my very own film opening. I am thinking of what my film opening should be about and right now I'm between an opening about a young man getting drafted into the military, or a film opening showing a sports player. I will be trying to get the rights to have the song, "you make my dreams come true" in my music video. I believe that this will be a good attention-getting device as it is such a catchy song.   I have been brainstorming about the genre for my film opening and came to the conclusion that I want to do something different than other people and that's why I'm choosing comedy or drama. I'm kinda leaning more towards comedy as it relates to my personality more and I will just be able to flow ideas. Bye blog! Till next time.

  For this project, we wanted a genre that not a lot of people listen to. And we got exactly that. I and my group got the Alternative music genre which we were excited about. We selected the song, “Night Running”, by Cage the Elephant. We then watched the music video and played the song a few times to see if we could get an idea to blossom. Right when I heard the song, I thought of running from the police at night, trying to hide. I discussed with my group and told them my idea for the music video. They loved it and started to expand on the original idea.  11/12/2021 Action Genre As fast and furious was the last movie I've watched, I figured this was an easy choice as I really enjoyed the movie.  The definition of action is a film genre in which the protagonist or protagonists are thrust into a series of events that typically include violence, extended fighting, physical feats, rescues, and frantic chases. This kind of movie genre is targeted to sell to young males aged around 16-25 years old. This is because most action films have large amounts of fast-paced scenes, violence, and sexual content which would be the gratifications this audience will look for. Usually, there is a hero and a villain, and the hero always comes out saving the world or defeating the villain. The hero usually tries to stop the villain to save the victim.  Content Violence is a clear indicator that it is an action film.
